The Keystone Rally Association was formed in the winter of 1975 by small group of soap box derby racing ethusiasts. The objective of the Association is to promote and educate youth about the sport of soap box derby racing, provide a fair and safe environment for youngsters to participate and to promote family involvement in the sport.
Participants construct their soap box derby cars and then race them on different hills. Each hill offers a different challenge to the driver which helps them hone their driving skills. During the Fall season (August through October), drivers earn Keystone Points depending on their finishes in each of the races. The driver who earns the most points in his or her division is crowned the Keystone Champion for that division.
The Keystone Rally Association is open to all youngsters and their families. Members meet several times a year to decide the direction for the organization, discuss current issues and elect Officers that act on behalf of the organization.
